Open Question: GPS walk navigation suggestions wanted for Melbourne Australia - both hiking and suburban (street) navigation?

I'd like a GPS that is suitable for both hiking and suburban (walking) navigation in Melbourne and country VIC Australia (preferably with these maps pre loaded). I would like it to have a built in compass, to take ordinary batteries that provide 20 hours running time, to be waterproof and shock proof (won't break if dropped from normal hand height) and I would also like the ability for it to retrace my steps to the starting point.
